Charles R. (Charlie) Ritchie passed away March 10, 2011 in Tylertown, Mo.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2011, at the American Legion hall in Cascade.
Charlie was born Nov. 7, 1939, in Shawnee., Okla., to Shelley Lestus Ritchie and Pauline Lois Taylor.
Charlie was a long-time member of the American Legion, and held offices on the local, district and state levels.
His love was being a member of Cascade fire department and Valley County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue.
Charlie is survived by his wife, Karen, eight sons and three daughters: Robin Christ, Alice Marie and Steve Doris, Thomas Kohl, Phil and Jan Ritchie, Jeff and Stacy Kohl, Ken and Jayme Kohl, Scott and Robecca Kohl, Marcus Ritchie, and Christine and Michael Dendinger.
He is also survived by 27 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and one sister, Carolyn Washburn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Shelley E. Ritchie, and a sister Cecilia Healley.
