There will be a celebration of life for Jerry Dixon, McCall resident and smokejumper in the 1970s and early 1980s, at 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, at the Lakeview Covered Picnic Area in Ponderosa State Park.
It is a potluck barbecue, and Jerry’s sons are hoping to hear stories of their dad from his McCall years, which were before they were born.
