Sharon Lee Rees

Sharon Lee Rees, 68, of Eagle, formerly of McCall, passed away peacefully on Feb. 6, 2012, in the arms of her family after a short illness.

Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, at Summers Funeral Home. Graveside services followed at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery.

Sharon was born June 8, 19 , to Joseph and Hazel Christopherson in Portland, Ore. She moved to Boise at age 3 and attended Lowell, North Junior High, Boise High School, and Boise Junior College.

She was a court reporter in the Navy for three years. After her time in the Navy, Sharon had a 32 year career as a human resource supervisor, office manger, and legal secretary for the U.S. Forest Service, state and private forestry, and office of general counsel in McCall, Boise, and Milwaukee, Wisc.

Following her retirement in 1998 she enjoyed traveling, particularly by R.V., watercolor painting, and spending time with her granddaughter.

She was also a devoted volunteer, giving her time to the Learning Lab in Boise and St. Luke’s hospital.

She married William Rees in Boise on April 21, 1972.

Sharon is survived by her husband, her daughter, Kristine; her granddaughter, Willa of Eagle; and her son, Gary (Jessica) of Houston, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Joan Jensen.
