Bonita “Bonnie” Mae Rasch

Bonita “Bonnie” Mae Rasch, 85, of McCall, died March 22, 2012.

Memorial services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, McCall.

Bonnie was born Jan. 31, 1927 in Leadville, Colo. She was raised in San Francisco where she attended and graduated from St. Anne’s Parochial School.

She danced with the San Francisco Ballet company where she taught young students. This gift stayed with her.

For the past 21 years she was the “heartbeat” of the Reno Nevada Senior Center, where she instructed senior aerobic classes three mornings every week.

Because of her passion for learning, and after the passing of her husband whom she cared for due to Alzheimer’s for over 10 years, she enrolled in college philosophy courses at the age of 80 years old and had a 3.80 GPA.

She was an inspiration to the hearts she touched and will be missed because her calm understanding, positive enthusiasm, reasoning and compassion will no longer be heard.

Surviving are her daughter, Jacqueline Hammond, grandsons Kyle Dolsby and Cole Neisinger, granddaughter Kallie Neisinger, and a great-granddaughter, Peyton Dolsby, all of McCall.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Fredic Rasch. Also preceding her were her great-granddaughter Chelsea Bree Dolsby and sister Betty Barnett.

The family wishes to express its thanks and gratitude to the home health care and hospice teams from St. Luke’s McCall.
