Juanita (Donica) Dehlin, 82, of McCall, died on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at the McCall Rehab and Care Center with her children at her side.

Juanita was born in McCall in the fall of 1929 to Arthur and Blanche (Rowland) Donica, the sixth of 10 children. She was a life-long resident of the McCall area.

She married Paul Dehlin in 1947 and they remained married until his death in 1996, just two months short of their 50th wedding anniversary. From this marriage three children were born.

Her most cherished times were spent with her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren, and meeting her first great-great-grandchild was one of her greatest joys in the last months of her life.

Mom made many beautiful crocheted Afghans for her children, grandchildren and other family members and we will cherish them always.

Juanita is survived by two daughters, Paulette Miller (Don McLean) and Linda Branstetter (Ron), all of New Meadows; her son, Alan Dehlin of McCall; five grandchildren, Angela Griffin (Paul) of Phoenix, Ariz., Cory Thompson of New Meadows, Lisa Eldridge (Scott) of Grangeville, Traci Branstetter (Mike Conaway) of New Meadows, and Eric Branstetter (Erin) of New Meadows; nine great-grandchildren, Dustin and Alyssa Williams of Phoenix, Derek and Jared Eldridge of Grangeville, Matthew and Bryan Dixon of New Meadows, Brooke, Briana and Colton Branstetter of New Meadows; and one great-great-granddaughter, Aubrey Jenkins of Phoenix.

She is also survived by her sister, JoAnne Donica of McCall; her brothers, Pat Donica of McCall and Arthur Donica of Gooding; many nieces and nephews; and her best friend of over 70 years, Colleen Donica.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters, Genevieve Rutherford, Florene “Sue” Barron and Marjorie Hutchens’ three brothers, Virgil Donica, Jack Donica and Gerald “Judd” Donica; and her half-brother, Kenneth Donica.
