Darren Edward Lee

Darren Lee of Heber City, Utah, passed away, surrounded by his family and friends, on Tuesday, May 24, 2011.

There will be a memorial service for Darren Saturday, June 4, 2011, at noon at Heroes Park, 3064 W. Malta Dr., Meridian.

Darren was born Aug. 12, 1974 in Boise, where he attended Mountain View grade school, Fairmont, Junior High and Capital High School. He was a member of King of Glory Lutheran Church. He attended North Idaho College and Boise State University.

As an adult Darren worked and lived in Boise, McCall, Sun Valley, Park City and Heber City. At his death he was the manager of the Utah Home Fitness in Salt Lake City and an instructor at the Hotel Park City Spa. He was also a certified personal trainer for a full schedule of clients.

All who knew him enjoyed his friendship, and he was loyal to his friends from all walks of life. He loved his wife and baby girl with a passion. But Darren was most at home in the mountains. In the summer he would backpack to the most remote lake, and in the winter he had a board on his feet, seeking the steepest run.

He is survived by his wife, Susana, and one-year-old daughter, Sabrina. He is also survived by his parents, Dennis and Laura Lee of McCall; his sisters and their families, Erica and Alec Sarrazolla, and sons, Kyle and Jackson of Boise; Melissa Lee-Klubberud and Arne Klubberud and son, Anders of Seattle; grandparents, Maxine Scott of Garden City, Kans., and Ronald Scott of Cedaredge, Colo.

The family requests that flowers not be sent. Instead a memorial fund has been set up for baby Sabrina.
