Verl R. Harmon of Nampa, formerly of McCall, passed away on Sept. 26, 2011. Private services will be held.
He was born on June 29, 1938 in Antioch, Calif., to Annie and Lorenzo Harmon.
Verl attended Auberry Elementary, Sierra High, Reedley College, and Fresno State College.
He served in the US Navy from 1961 to 1963. While in California he worked for Fresno State College, Ponderosa Telephone Co., and Sierra Summit Ski Area.
In 1988 he married Carla Rutz Hamilton and moved to McCall, where he worked for Brundage Mountain Ski Area and the Forest Service.
He is survived by his wife, Carla; his sister, Elaine Walton; a son, Glen Harmon; a daughter, Michelle Harmon; and five grandchildren: Jeremy, Jacob, and Emely Harmon, and Jessica and Mollyanne Neal.
Verl was preceded in death by his brother Carl Harmon.
